Gleusta 2

The fast, exciting studio show Gleusta is back with a second series, with new teams and new challenges.  Each week, two teams of youngsters go head to head in a battle of brains, wit and agility.  With the support of a special celebrity guest, the teams meet on the studio set of Gleusta and battle over five rounds of competition.

The second series can be seen on BBC Alba on Thursday at 5.30pm, and again on Saturday at 5pm, and Tuesday at 5.30pm.


 AN SGÀILEAN ÙR AT THE CELTIC MEDIA FESTIVAL

"An Sgàilean Ùr", a four year running project created by Morag Stewart and Sealladh came to a successful end at the Celtic Media Festival in Stornoway.  Three schools from the Highlands produced and exhibited their short films in Stornoway.

Pupils Allanah Beaton and Kirstin MacDougall from Portree High School, Arthur Brooke-Young from Sleat Primary School, and Sophie MacRitchie and Mairead Morgan from the Inverness Gaelic Primary School were all involved in presenting and answering questions from the audience on their short films.  Amongst the audience were Donald John Brown from the BBC, Alan MacKay from Tasglann Sgàilean na h-Alba, and Brian OhEadhra from Bòrd na Gàidhlig.  Also at the presentation was Proinsia Nì Ghràinne from Irish Gaelic channel, TG4, who is thoroughly interested in broadcasting "An Sgàilean Ùr" short films on the channel.

The project was supported and funded by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, the Highland Council, MG Alba and Sealladh.

Sealladh is hoping to screen the films in Inverness and Skye by the end of the school year.


Gleusta


Primary 7 School Pupils from around Scotland, with special guests compete for the Gleusta crown in the weeks a head.  The programme can be seen on BBC Alba on Wednesday at 6.30pm and Saturday at 4.55pm.  The programme will also be broadcast again on BBC 2 on Wednesday at 7pm.


Celtic Media Festival

Sealladh is proud and happy to announce that their radio production "Uaigneas" has made the short list at the Celtic Media Festival 2011.

The programme was produced by Morag Stewart and broadcast on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal on the 25th of January.

The Festival takes place in Stornoway between the 13th and 15th of April 2011.
